Please be assured that the RCCSS counselors are available to help guide and assist families during this break. Robert Aberle and Steph Strand have their personal contact information in the directory and on the website, and they will respond to correspondence in a timely manner.

We know that people tend to be on their best behavior during times of ritual and routine, and that stress can bring out some of the best and worst in us.  Modeling cues will be very important. Share openly with your kids in a calm manner and call if you need us. St. Thomas More, Pray For Us.

Counselors provide both the parent and student with assistance on course selections, standardized testing, college planning, financial aid, scholarships, and school-related issues as well as help in fostering the personal and emotional well being of all students. Remember, the Guidance Department’s role is to support you, and our ultimate goal is to make your school experience more meaningful and enjoyable!

Safe Environment

The Safe Environment program was redeveloped in 2014, to ensure parents of a more comprehensive and research based approach to keeping their children safe.  We welcome all volunteers, but require all who will have contact with our children to complete several steps:

  1. Attend a safe environment training (1.25 hours)
  2. Complete a background check (download document and return to any building secretary to be given to Mr. Aberle for processing seal in an envelope)
  3. Read the Sexual Abuse Policy (return last page signed),  and
  4. Read the Code of Conduct (return documents appropriate to your volunteering).
